Breakfast is often said to be the most important meal of the day …

We believe in this, at Crocadon’s kitchen where the Aga cooker always hot and ready to go! The large kitchen can seat everyone at the farmhouse table and is fully equipped with crockery, glassware, serving dishes and cooking utensils. Plus microwave, plug in hobs, coffee maker and dishwasher. If you find your family and friends need more room to spread out at breakfast time, the medieval dining hall offers an impressive further larger table. Finally, if alfresco is your thing, then there is a sheltered ‘man’ size barbeque and outside tables and benches.

Lazy days in summer or winter …

Crocadon is a great house for summer and winter holidays alike and after the convivial meals are complete the house offers lots of room for everyone’s idea of relaxation. From gathering in the drawing room with its sunny windows, television, open fire and enough comfortable seats for all. Pool and games for the more active and a snug room with wood burner and television in a quiet corner of the house. Outside, the large lawns provide room for a game of football (2 goals stored in BBQ courtyard) or rounders, ping-pong table stored in shed and the enclosed cottage garden offers a safer space for little ones, so something for everyone!

And so to bed …

When the day is done don’t despair as there are comfortable beds, feather duvets and Egyptian cotton linen to rest those weary bones. So take the galleried staircase from the dining hall which splits left and right to the six first floor bedrooms. The dining hall separates two spacious bedrooms at the front of the house from four bedrooms at the cottage end of the house. There are a two separating doors installed in the cottage wing landing which provides additionally privacy for sharing friends and family, plus a rear staircase which descends to the snug room or optional seventh bedroom on the ground floor.
