The summer holidays may be drawing to a close but Autumn and Winter at Crocadon can be beautiful, as the surrounding broadleaf woodlands change colour and the Autumn light softens the landscape. Fresh mornings are kept at bay with the warm Aga cooker that softly heats the kitchen whilst you sleep and has a kettle at the ready to boil for an early morning coffee. With the day ahead for walking and exploring the gorgeous countryside don’t forget to bring your wellies! There are some great events all through the Autumn at Cotehele National Trust house too. (https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/cotehele/whats-on) Then as the temperatures fall in late afternoon, what better way to pass the time that by lighting an open fire, the snap and crackle of kindling, the smell of wood smoke, the initial blaze and then the dance of flames as the fire settles. Sit back in the deep sofa’s and watch the evening light fade from the warmth of the drawing room. Just what the doctor ordered!!
